⁷³ And having come to him after a little while, the ones standing there said to Peter, “Truly you also are one of them, for even your speaking^[a] makes you evident”. ⁷⁴ Then he began to curse^[b], and to swear-with-an-oath^[c] that “I do not know the man”. And immediately a rooster crowed. ⁷⁵ And Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken^[d]— that “Before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three-times”. And having gone outside, he wept bitterly.
